About
I’m Ankit Jaiswal, a test automation and AI engineer based in Dublin, Ireland.
Most of my career has been spent making large systems testable: building automation frameworks, cutting suite runtimes, and leading small teams of engineers through the unglamorous work of keeping coverage honest. More recently I’ve moved toward NLP and machine learning, and I’m most interested in where the two overlap — using models to validate content, and applying engineering discipline to research code.
What I work on
- Test automation at scale — Playwright, Selenium and SpecFlow frameworks in Python, TypeScript and C#, usually with an emphasis on modular design and low maintenance cost.
- NLP and machine translation — transformer models, with a particular interest in low-resource languages.
- Backend and tooling — Python and Go services, FastAPI, Docker, and CLI tools that remove manual steps.
Experience
QA Engineer · 2023–2024 · Remote
Led a five-person automation team for HPE, raising test coverage by 70% through framework development and sprint coordination. Used a BERT model for text matching, reaching 85% accuracy in automated content validation. Built and deployed 15+ Go microservices for timesheet management, cutting processing time by 60%, and automated 200+ API tests with Python requests. Containerised the Playwright UI suite in Docker, reducing execution time by 45%.
Senior Test Engineer · 2021–2023 · Bangalore, India Managed an eight-engineer testing team on Microsoft PowerApps, reviewing 100+ PRs a month at a 90% defect detection rate. Improved translation accuracy by 30% through ML model optimisation. Applied a WCAG 2.1 accessibility testing framework that surfaced 40+ critical issues, and cut monolithic suite runtime by 65% through better object repository design.
Test Engineer · 2018–2021 · Bangalore, India Automated 25+ critical UI flows for British Petroleum using a BDD approach. Reduced test maintenance effort by 90% through modular framework design, shrinking the codebase from 10,000 to 1,000 lines. Built a SpecFlow and TypeScript BDD framework with 100+ scenarios, and created a virtual service environment covering 25+ production APIs.
Education
M.Sc. Computing (Natural Language Processing) · Dublin City University · 2024–2025 LLMs, deep learning, data analytics, time series, and machine translation. For the practicum I worked with Alpha CRC, a UK-based company, on improving machine translation accuracy and linguistic adaptability for low-resource languages.
B.Tech. Computer Science · Lingayas University, India · 2013–2017 AI, operating systems, networks, data structures and algorithms.
